I received an e-mail confirmation too from SonyStyle. I just tracked my package and it is now in Memphis, TN. I can't wait anymore! Now I am thinking of driving to TN from IL this weekend to grab my UX50.

I checked the pick up time on Fedex site and it said it was picked up at 3pm on thursday. I sure didn't get it overnight on friday.

Got my notice overnight as well. This is the FIRST TIME Sonystyle has EVER sent me my shipping notice before I received the unit. Plus, their site has been updated as well. So it looks like they've learned a thing or two compared to the past.

The FedEx tracking number they sent me doesn't work, but maybe it's on their dock waiting for a truck to pick it up...

So, I took the afternoon off from work, am sitting at home, looking at the fedex tracking page - "Out for Delivery"

How serious is this whole "don't turn it on for first 4 hours" thing? That's just cruel. Is there a memory effect to the battery?

Lithium Ion batteries don't have the "memory effect" like the old nickel cadmium rechargables do. But, I'd just wait the four hours, install some software on your desktop and read through the manual in the meantime, anyway.

I turned it on after 2 hours of charge and used it while charging. I'll let you know if the battery dies faster in about a year when I am upgrading to another clie.

I received an email from Sony on Saturday that my UX had shipped. I have been checking the tracking number on FedEx and it still shows as "NOT FOUND".

The FedEx deliveries are done for the day at my work, so it won't sneak in today. I am hoping that they shipped it Saturday, but it wasn't picked up until today, and that tracking info will show up tonight.

I cancelled my other pre-order from Amazon as I thought I would get it today. I am a little concerned that this order got misplaced somehow!!!!

Anyone else have this frustrating experience?

Finally after 51 DAYS but who's counting, charging now for the 4 hours. I will follow up on this as I am a Mac user, so I would think there would be interest in what I run into.
