I've been waiting and here it is:

Very good review and very fair, I thought. Doesn't change my mind about not wanting to upgrade. Is anyone else swayed one way or the other?
By the way, that camera is pretty cool. Amazing images, but like Ed said, there are even better cameras out there. They just don't have a PDA attatched to them.

Still not enough to tempt me.

I LUVed the pix...
BUT, I spent the weekend taking over 350 pix & 40 min of video (don't need great quality screen/web usage only); AT the highest resolution I would have needed more than 2 MS I took... and no great improvement in the video?
DOES this translate any better viewing on the desktop? Or equal to he NX?
I just bought my NX... I am MORE THAN HAPPY with it...
I would love these features in a PDA with the dimensions of the NR70 (I do use the keyboard).

I take all kinds of pictures with my NX, and I'd love bluetooth. But $800? I want to, I really do, but I can't let myself do it. I'm holding out for more built-in memory, and for Sony to refine this model a bit.

It looks like its a pretty good camera, but the scariest thing was Ed's quote about how he took 10 pictures with flash and it wasn't that bad because he still had more than half the battery left.
So you're telling me with about 20 some pictures with flash, the battery will be dead? If this is true then this sounds AWFUL! Its not a good camera at all if it can only take 20 pictures with flash. Tell me i'm wrong please.
Also, I'm sure if Ed had reduced the brightness setting down to halfway like i'm sure most users do, he would be able to get some more battery time with the NZ90.
I just got my NR70V last month, so I'm fine with that for a while. The lo-rez pics it takes are fine with me. And out here in the Great Plains, it would be stupid to even think about Wireless Internet... :D But the biggest con in my mind is the size!!! That thing is huge!! Oh well, to each his own...

Hey, I didn't just fall off the turnip truck. Most of time I was using the NZ90 its backlight was all the way down to save power. The good news is the screen looks pretty good this way.

Non issue for me:
1. Planned on getting the extra battery anyway. Stuff happens, and I'd rather be prepared than have a dead PDA.
2. The flash - another non issue. If I have to take that many pictures where it's to the point that I'll kill the battery, I should be using a standalone cam anyway. The cam for me is for the spontaneous pics that I never see coming. For my use(s), I can't imagine a scenario where I'll need to flash everytime (the NX's flash you can force off).
3. The backlight issue - anybody that has a PDA and has been reading this site for any length of time knows that they have to play the backlight game to maximize the battery length.

There will be more Clies coming out, so why focus on just this one? For me to spend 800 bucks for a couple of months just to say that I have an NZ90, just doesn't make any sense. I intend to be patient for now and wait!

If you read some of our posts, none of us are buying it for a "status symbol", myself included.
While waiting makes sense for you, upgrading makes sense for us.

I will be getting the NZ.
My PDA for the last 1 1/2 years has been a Visor Prism... it had 16mb internal memory which was nice, however switching modules got really annoying, especially carrying them w/ me everywhere. I sold my Prism a few weeks ago (as soon as I saw photos and read reviews of the NZ). I don't own an MP3 player or digital camera, so the NZ will suit my needs for a great all around device.

Respectfully, patient for what? For technology to stop? For "Mother Invention" to come to a grinding halt? Someone on this forum has the an 1890s World Fair quote or something that says, "There is nothing else to invent."
You have to make a decision at some point, before life just passes you by.
Don't get me wrong, I respect those that scour the web, watch stock and read press releases in order to "divine" what the future holds . . . heck, I am one of them. I figure it is about time to move from my Palm IIIx( bought in 1998) and try out some new technology.
