I am new to using CF cards ... just purchased a NX80.

Can someone tell me what is the difference between type I and II CF cards? I read the spec. of NX80 and type II is supported.

1. Is type I CF cards supported in the slot of NX80?

2. I am looking to buy the Sandisk 1GB and 512MB CF cards and there is no mention of type I or II. Should I assume they are type I? Do type II cards exist for these storage capacities?

3. Would I get different performance, e.g., watching a movie, when using type II cards instead of type I cards?

4. Type II cards don't seem to be popular at all. Why?

Thanks.
Richard

I think I read in another thread that the only differance between a Type I and Type II CF card is thickness.

The Type I card is thinner.

Might be more to it though.

Hmm... Thanks for the explanation :) , but I'll bet there's hardware specs involved as well ;) .
