Ok ok,

"this track is unavailable for one of the following reasons: Memory stick is write protected or does not support copyright control or the track file is corrupted".

These are for MP3 files.

I subscribe to e-music.com, its a pay for site, about $10 per month. All you can download. The bit rate is about 300-500 and these files will not go into my memory stick. I by pass right into the card reader right into msaudio file. The stuff from kazaa and my cds work fine, but these show up in the card, just will not play. I can play them from the card on my pc.

I can't be the only one experiencing this, and was wondering what am I doing wrong.

I want to be a good guy and pay for my music. Its a great service that lets you find all kinds of good stuff.

Hi,
from my past experience the audio player has trouble with bitrates over 256 kbs and sometimes variable bitrates.
What i do is use any mp3 tool to convert my mp3s to 192 kbs which work fine.
I use Cool Edit for the conversion because i have the license but there are lots of freewares and sharewares that do the same and are much lighter than cool edit.

Hope this helps

Sony Clié does not support variable rate MP3.

Also for converting MP3 bitrates I recommend dbPoweramp.

Variable bit rate? Is that a bit rate other than 128?

Yes, I think converter is needed. Sony Software is very confusing.

I thought Windows media could convert.

Thanks!

Oh by the way, Eruware has a driver for the nx73 and 80 out soon.
