My card reader can see the files on the memory stick (OS for computer is windows2000) but when I put it in my NX70 there is nothing that can be seen. Any suggestions?

Did you reformat the stick recently to FAT32, instead of FAT?

Was it working before?

Is it an MS Pro stick and the MS Pro driver is not installed?

Do you have another memory stick to try?

It's possible something happened to the Clie or it may need a hard reset.

Greetings!

Is it a standard memory stick, or a memory stick pro?

Thanks,
Bawko

Greeting again,

Try to format it on your Clie, then copy the files onto it with your PC card reader and see if that fixes your problem.

Good luck!

Sorry, I was barraged with a plethora of emails this afternoon.

There are several ways to format the MS, but using card info is usually the easiest and best way to do it.

Find the "Card Info" app on your Clie, use the drop down menu and you should see format card. If the memory stick was formatted as FAT 32 format, then the Clie won't see the file, but the PC will.

Let me know how it goes.... Good luck!

You didn't mention what kind of files and how you are trying to see them, but don't forget there are certain folders that corresponding types of files need to go in. For example, appications need to be in the "palm/Launcher" folder on the stick in order to show up in any of the launchers (Clie, zlauncher, etc.) ,images need to be in the "images'' folder for the Clie viewer to see them. Hope this helps. Good luck :)

The end result was a defective memory stick. A local store replaced it with no problem, all is well!
