HI,
I'm playing a bit with the "modified" version of movieplayer but I see that if from a filemanager I delete some video and/or add others when I return to MP the thumbnails and infos are still referring to the old one. If I open I can see new files but I don't know how to force the program to refresh and read new files.
Thanks

Go to the Palm, Programs, MoviePlayer folder on the memory stick and delete the MAI info files. Then you can create new ones.

Thanks but this doesn't solve totally the problem.
I can delete the full Movieplayer folder but the thumbnails are not recreated, I only see the "film" logo.
Any other solution? :(
ok, in my personal opinion, this is not caused by the new version of the MoviePlayer, but this thumbnail issue existed from the very beginning.
Everytime you've delete a certain movie file:
let's say you've deleted the movie from within MoviePlayer, then the movie along with the thumbnail gets deleted as well, then everything gets taken cared of. :)
But sometimes, for a person like myself, would use a 6-in-1 card reader/ writer, & access the movie files on my PC directly from the /MQ_ROOT/ 100MQV01/ using QuickTime6 to view them as well as organize the movies.
In this certain case, sometimes I would delete the *.MQV movie files within the movie folder but then not the *.MAI (which contains certain info. about the movie clip I've just deleted), this then result in "orphan files" within the /PALM/Programs/MoviePlayer/ subdirectory.
Then the next time a new *.MQV file is inserted to the /MQ_ROOT/100MQV01 folder with similar file name MoviePlayer will link up the similar thumbnail file left over previously.
If you've already deleted all the *.MAI files in the /PALM/Programs/MoviePlayer/, then all you'll have to do is just recreat new thumbnails within MoviePlayer, one by one.
Open MoviePlayer & launch the specific movie you want to create a thumbnail for, then press "stop" at the screenshot that you would like to save as the thumbnail picture, then select properties, choose thumbnails, then refresh.
There you have it your new personal thumbnail, which is even better than the default one that ImageConverter generates too! :p
