I know most of us have NX's right now, but I am wondering from people who are buying or have played with the NZ, what are your thoughts on upgrading?
I just bought my gunmetal NX and love it completely. I think the size is perfect, has everything I would need and does everything and more for me.
The better still camera would be cool to have (especially on a trip I could bring 1 item for organizing and taking photos). I don't really see the value of bluetooth yet, since I don't have any other BT devices, or know anyone with BT devices.
I hate that Sony put the IR port on the side, the fact that the video cam part is not upgraded in quality and it looks monstrous in pics compared to the NX. Believe me, I don't mind a large PDA, but if it's too big, I find myself leaving it in the car or at home when I go out, which defeats the purpose of having a PDA.

So, would I be better off waiting for Sony's next concoction, or should I find someone to buy my NX and upgrade to this new and very tempting NZ?

Anyone have any suggestions/advice?

My suggestion is "wait". There is no need to rush in to an NZ. Wait to see what people say about it and wait to play with one at your local store.

I'm upgrading for the still camera and built-in BT.

Don't fall into the "You gotta upgrade" trap... Be content with what you have and wait for the next better thing. I (apparently unlike "most" of you) am still using my NR-70 (no, not V because I have a 4mp camera for digital photo needs). And I haven't upgraded to the NX, nor will I upgrade to the NZ. I'm just hoping that whatever upgrade comes out in September is really worth the wait. :) (I'm jonesin' for OS5...)

This sentence says it all:
"I just bought my gunmetal NX and love it completely. I think the size is perfect, has everything I would need and does everything and more for me. "

It doesn't sound like the NZ90 adds any features you really need and its better camera comes at the cost of a big increase in size and weight.

Now, if you were someone who really needed a good digital camera with you 24/7 you might consider switching but not if all you want is something to take vacation shots with.

I love my NX, but I yearn to upgrade and get the latest and greatest. My thoughts on the NZ is that is is a good unit, yet the key we've all been asking for is more memory. I like to use memory sticks, but it would be nice to have 64 meg so that I could keep all that I want on the machine, and not have to leave anything off.

I've gotta go with the crowd on this.
I love my NX60. I just came back from a weekend in Maine and got a big "WOW" every time I flipped the screen. Having a really fine camera [got an Oly SmartCard one] right on board would have been even cooler. BUT, the jack between my 60 and an NZ is major league bucks for a little bit more "Wow".
No can do....................I'll wait for that 64meg pump up before I'll go back to the stores.
