...or so I thought for a while after bashing my head.
My fiance' and I both have NX80's now. I couldn't get beaming to go with her trying to beam JPEGShow. Yet it worked just FINE with the NX70! NX80 to NX80 wouldn't work!
Well, turns out that the beaming on the NX80 doesn't like to beam straigh ahead very well. It seems you have to be about 30 degrees to the left (as you hold the handheld), the person you're beaming to has to be to the left 30 degrees) in order to beam reliably with another NX80.
Just something to watch out for when you can't beam to another NX80.

Yea, because the IR's on the left hand corner as you beam.
That's why I had trouble figuring that out the first time I beam to a T series.
I still had to turn to the right just a little.
Good lookin out.

I am having the same problem. I just got my wife a SJ22 and it won't beam. My 665 looks and looks, and doesn't find the SJ22. I click on the beam from the SJ22 and it just flashes... Am I missing something???
I have had similar probs in the past - usually a soft reset kicks the IR back into gear. Also make sure 'beam receive' is turned on in your prefs panel.
As for the NX80 it's like Stronggeek says you have to do left diagonal beaming else it won't work. ;)

The IR sensor in the NX80V is on the left hand side, so you should aim the other device to the left of the NX80V when beaming.
Here is a picture of the IR sensor inside my NX80V

Point straight ahead when using IR for things like Remote Commander. Point sideways when beaming to other handhelds!
See...you do learn things when you read the manual!!:D

Thanks Dags!
Fixed it, I don't know why I didn't think of it, its what I would have done if it happened with the 665, didn't expect a prob right away with the 22.
