How often do you recharge your NX ?
Do you wait until the battery is nearly depleated or do you recharge whenever possible ?
Is your cradle always powered ?

I charge when ever posible... When I go to sleep, when I'm at work and use my desk top... :D

Whenever I'm at my computer, so usually at least twice a day if not more.

Do you worry about battery memory effect ?

I conditioned my battery when I first got my clie... I remembering reading reviews about how the battery in the new nx isn't that great... I feel like I use mine ALL the time and I've never even come close to having it drained.. I put it on the charger every night; by the time the battery does have issues it will probably be time for a new clie anyways =)

Lithium ion batterys don't have the memory effect found in other types such as NiCad and NiMH. It will actually give them better life to keep them as charged as possible.

I fill her up at work. Then again at night. She looses charge mostly from the wifi card.
Sometimes I treat myself and plug in the USB charger, turnup the brightness full blast' and surf till I get sleepy on my couch.

Yes, conclusion is,
just charge it whenever there is a possibility. Its safe.

It's always keep it on charge whenever possible! What memory effect??? That's a throwback to the old Ni-Cad days! The embeded electronics inside the Lithium battery protect it. NiCads and Ni-Mh don't have that.

It will actually cut off the charge when it detects the battery is full.

The 'Empty & Recharge' strategy no longer applies to LiIon batteries. As stated above, charge whenever you can!

So, charging it all the time is actually something good right?

Yeah, just like your electric razor or toothbrush!
...ideas, I here, for accessories to new NZ.:D

Mine sits in it's cradle all day while I work, but I don't have access to it on the weekends. Sometimes, especially when I get a new game, I'll run pretty low by Monday morning. But I've never run out of juice.

I charge mine about one every two or three days!
(I've always been lazy about charging...)
As for the 'conditioning issue,' I have already commented on that, there seems to be two camps, those who do and those who think those who do have a scew loose...
I agree w/ Nate1749, by the time it becomes an issue, it will be time to UPgrade!!! (Hopefully, the NZ diet will have kicked in by then)

Yes. definately, I agree too. When I upgrade, I hope my NX shows the wear and tear of major use-including signs of battery decline. Anything to help me feel better about spending even more money on a new Clie or better PDA.
If it(battery conditioning) made a siginicant difference in performance, it'd probably be in the manual. And that includes manuals of other lithium battery powered devices.

If not in use... It's charging.
Juiced up and ready to go anytime!

I put mine in the cradle attached to my computer, whenever I'm sitting there . . . I usually read in bed at night, and when I'm done, I plug it into the travel charger on my nightstand.

I charge it at night... and WHEN I forget it usually still has enough juice for the day.
This past saturday though, I did not charge it and got to 35% but after recording 15 min of video and about 200 pix & other apps; so I charged it up when not in use so as to not die on me (I had to continue taking pix & more movies)
GOSH is this NX TOO much fun (and people just keep getting impressed with this)
*alright, close to 100*

Exactly... I charge mine 1-2 times a day and have never run out of power.

When I am at work I put it in the cradle, but I travel about 50% of the time. Then, I charge when I think of it, while I am using my laptop. Sometimes it is a few days in between, but I have had no problems. I also do not charge on weekends. The battery life is pretty good and it is not a big thing on my mind.

Just think of it as your cellular.

If it's not on or in my pocket, it's being charged.

how long will it last connected to web via wifi at let's say medium brightness setting?

What about the fact that rechargeable batteries have a quoted lifespan of, say, "can be recharged 1000x" ?
Would it not be better to have 1000 use of zero to full charge? Rather than 1000 use when it is mostly from 80% to 100% charge?
Am I making sense?
Maybe not...
Better get another beer...

I toss mine in the cradle whenever I'm at home and not using it. Overnight, while I'm on the internet, watching TV, etc.

you shld. charge ur li-ion operated battery very often based on this article.
i got this from this site:
http://www.compu2go.com/pda101.html#14
Battery wear-down on lithium-based batteries
Wear-down is caused by actual usage or cycling, and aging. Top up your battery often: partial discharges produce less wear than a full discharge and the capacity loss per cycle is reduced. Also, batteries age even if not used. For best results, keep the battery cool.
1) Charge the Li-ion often, except before a long storage. Avoid repeated deep discharges.
2) Keep the Li-ion battery cool. Prevent storage in a hot car. Never freeze a battery.
3) Avoid purchasing spare Li-ion batteries...Do not buy old stock, even if sold at clearance prices.
