audio player - problem!!

got a problem with my audio player. every time i try launching the program, an error message appears...the message goes like this "skin database not found - cannot find audio player skin database".

tried hard reboot & it works... but as soon as i sync with my laptop, the same error message appears when i try launching the audio player.

can someone tell me how to resolve this issue?

That's because your laptop(desktop) backup has been contaminated. You'll need to find the offending file on your laptop and delete it. I do not remember what file is used for the audioskin or what file you tried to add for the audio skin. Thus the reason why I keep multiple backups on 2 memory sticks and keep 3 rolling backup copies of the whole memory stick on my hard drive too.

thanks for the confirmation larry. kinda figured that. now i'm still open to anyone who's got a specific remedy to my nightmare.

can i copy / install any file in the sync conduit to cure this disease? or if there is any other way root out this problem.

i guess looking for an alternative audio player skin is out of the questions since no one can find it anywhere.

so i'm still open to any clie gurus' out there....

same thing happened to me, i could not remember how i did it, if im not mistaken, i hard reset it, delete all files, then i reinstall the "skin_apps"again, when you get to the install tool dialog box, remove it, then hotsync again, it should store everything.

thanks a lot MyClie. sounds like something worth trying. one question though being a newbeez, where do i get "skin_aps"? does it come with the application cd-rom?
