Which sync is faster?

Has anyone timed the regular USB hotsync against a WiFi hotsync? and found one to be faster then the other... wondering... thank you.

The USB HotSync is usually faster, most noticibly when transfering a large file.

hmm.. i must be crazy, seemed that the wifi was faster for me.... of course your 802.11 tx and rx rates can vary...

Additional factors to look at:

When using wireless HotSync, you have a longer lag time to connect, plus the extra step of accessing the HotSync app and tapping on the Icon. Pushing the cradle button is faster.

Throughput is severly limited no matter how it connects. When HotSyncing AvantGo for example, it takes forever to transfer the data to the memory stick via WiFi. HotSync via the cradle is faster, but still too slow for my liking.

Larry, that is just what got me wondering ... transfering to the card via USB seemed painfully slow today. I guess I should just try it myself and see... I do use the wifi sync when I want a fast sync that escapes BBuddy... Thank you... Van
