Hey everyone, new to the forum here, I recently purchased a NZ90 (upgraded from a Palm M500 and M515). Needless to say, I'm happy with it - except for 1 minor problem.
I recently purchased a Kingston 512MB Compact Flash from Fry's to install in the NZ90. Everything works great except for one thing: Pictures.
I can take pictures directly to the card (using the eruware driver) with no problem, the thumbnails come out fine - but when I pull up for a preview of the picture, it comes out corrupt. Pulling the picture from the Compact Flash itself to my computer is no problem, the picture is perfect - not in any way corrupt. I've experienced the same results using Clie viewer, AcidImage, and SplashPhoto. I've also installed all of the updated drivers form the Sony website. This was now leading me to think it's the driver producing the error.
I then performed a hard reset and then tried using CliePet's driver and the "3-bit hack" - no luck, still the same results.
I then tried the following:
Performed a hard reset - installing nothing but Filez, eruware driver and updated sony drivers - no luck
Perfored a hard reset - installed Filez, eruware driver and no updated sony drivers - no luck
Performed a hard reset - installed Filez, CliePet's drivers, updated sony drivers - no luck
Performed a hard reset - installed Filez, CliePet's drivers, no updated sony driver - no luck
Here's the really weird part - I disabled the Compact Flash Card completely and took pictures using the 128 Memory Stick and tried transferring the picture to the Compact Flash Card for storage (I figured no big deal - I can live with this).
Oddly enough - the same "corrupt pictures" appeared in full view, but perfect on the thumbnails!
I have checked the Compact Flash for errors, even tried enabling the "slow mount" and "slow mode" in eruware with no results.
Everything else works great, I can play movies and MP3s from the Compact Flash, but I will be using the camera more than anything.
I'm including screenshots of what I'm experiencing:
