When I found out my college has a wireless LAN that students could use to surf the INTERNET I decided to spring for that WL110 card on my NZ90/U. I read the Wireless threads here and on the Wireless forum. I didnt read them all however (big mistake #1)
Anyhow it came yesterday so I installed my WL110 driver from the CD-ROM that came packaged with it and all look to be going well till after the soft reset. The reboot never complete and it hung at the Silver Palm Powered splash screen. Soft resets didnt work so I did a hard reset (I think I heard baby Jesus cry).
Anyhow I got my functioning again and after I hot synced I got almost all my applications and databases back....all but my outlook related stuff. Oh, the applications were there, but the data (Contact Info, Calendar Info, Memos and To Do lists) is all gone. All that good info is still on my main computer just waiting to be shared with my palm but hotsync is not moving that info over there, or at least after the hotsync it doesnt appear.
Does someone know what I should do to get my Outlook XP info over to my NZ90/U? I looked around a bit for answers on this forum but I admit my search was a bit lackluster as this has really gotten me down.
Thanks for any help that you can provide to me in this regard. I will post about the wireless end of this problem on the Wireless forum. I hope this is the right forum for this part of the problem.

I left this info out of the above post but I best put this here too as it may be quite relevant, I dunno.
After I got most of my applications and databases back from Hotsyncing I noticed I had many duplicate entries due to many of my applications being in FlashRom (using JackFlash) I assume. Well I deleted alll the duplicates using Jackflash from RAM. Whenever I tried to delete the RAM dupes of CLieFiles and ClieDemo the system would declare a fatal error and reset and hang again at that same silver splash screen. So I followed the same delete procedures as before but for ClieFiles and Clie demo applications I used ZLauncher's File Manager to delete them and all went well. No reset necessary.

Did you set the HotSync Manager conduits to desktop overwrites handheld? It's a must do, so as to not wipe out the databases on the desktop PC. I don't sync with Outlook, only the Palm Desktop. Someone else may have to pick it up from here.

I did try to change the Intellisync Settings but they dont seem to to allow modification , I highlight them them and click on the change button but get no popup screen like on most other choices in that screen. I also tried double clicking on those. Those conduits are called Intellisync To Do, Intellisync Dates, Intellisync Memos, and Intellisync Address
I wonder if I deleted the database files on the Clie if they would be rebuilt with the computers Outlook databases.

If you try that, please make sure you have backups in triplicate, always factor in Murphy's Law!:)

Ok that scared me off for a while on that idea :)
Well today Im thinking my trouble is that there is a utility missing that once redirected my Clie to hotsync with my outlook db's. I realize that there are no conduits pointing to Outlook XP that I see set up in the Palm Desktop application that they all point to the Palm Desktops files. I am trying to remember what I did to redirect them to the Outlook db's. Anyone else remember how they did that?

Ok hoping that all you guys who might be able to help me out with my problem are back from your 3 day holiday by now:)
I am basically tring to figure out what I have to do to restore the ability of my Clie NZ90/U to sync with my Outlook Contacts/Calendar/Memos after a hard reset. On my comp I have all the info that should be there in Outlook, just none of it shows up on the Clie after syncing. Hell-p
Frustrated and depressed

Eureka! Well not I, but Richard in Sony Customer support.
What was wrong, and I didnt tell any of you this info because I hadnt thought of it, was that I had installed syncing software for my new Siemens S56 Bluetooth phone so that I could get my Outlook address book into that phone. Well I guess the rest is obvious.
Richard had me uninstall all the Siemens Stuff and the old install of the Intellisync Lite for my Clie. Then reinstall the Sony Clie Palm Desktop with Intellisync. Now it works fine.
Thanks Richard!
And thanks Larry a whole bunch. You did your best to figure this out, trouble was I was shoveling out incomplete info to you.

always back your entire Clie up to memory stick using the included "back up" software....
This neat little program that Sony included w/ our clies has saved many lost files on my Clie on more than one occasion!
