I found a way to convert from Audible.com to NX. First download and burn to CD via Audible own roxio software. Then I used Musicmatch (that I already had) and converted from .WAV format to MP3 and moved to MS. Works perfectly. It takes a few steps but if you love to listen to books it's worth the effort.

can you save your place or move between chapters?

ps about how much space on the MS does one full (avg sized) book take up?

thanks!!!

You can easily move between chapters. You can only save your place if you don't remove the MS card. Once you remove it then your place is lost. Once thing I do is to write down which chapter and at what "Time" (minutes and seconds past) then I can go back to that spot later.

how do you save it (assuming your doing what you say and NOT removing the card)? what reader is used? the audio player that is built in to the NX???

sorry new to this but very interested...

pps i also assume when you say "burn to cd" above you don't really have to go that far - just get it transformed into .wav files right?

also - how big are they?

Not much of an option if you sync your Audible Otis in the morning before going to work so you can listen to "All Things Considered". For regular audiobooks, I'm sure it'd be fine, but I've alreay got over 50GB in Audiobooks in mp3 format. Not much need to convert more.
