View Full Version : Clie safe through airport X-Ray Machine?

Going on a trip and was wondering if it's cool to let a Clie (with MS and WIFI card) go through X-ray machine. I've read elsewhere that it's OK for laptops (which I'm bringing as well) - but I just wanted to make sure there wasn't anything different about a Clie (I suspect there's not...)

Anyone know?

Thanks

The discussions in the past forums say it's not a problem!

My Clie went through twice in two different model x-ray machines. Nothing disastrous happened. Third-party apps (and users) are more likely to wreak havok on a Clie rather than x-ray machines. :D

I fly twice a week minimum. Xray has never been a problem. Now the butter fingered TSA searches are another matter...

Same here, flying twice a week and never had a problem. I usually put the NX70 in the same tray the laptop is in, together with the phone (on the side of the laptop).
No problem with digital camera as well.

Mine survived two body cavity searches. Make sure you do not install PDABomb on it, it might set off an alarm.

And it which part of your body did you keep your clie? Guess it's cheaper than buying a case! :D

Mine wouldn't turn on after going through an x-ray, but it was okay after a soft reset.

I've sent mine through many times, with no problems.  Didnt' have a problem with my NR70 in the past either.

I travel by air almost every week. No problem with x-ray machines. (No wi-fi card, but 3 mem sticks.)
