Why my Clie can't play some of the mp3?
Copyright problem?
It said something like copyright problem.......how to fix that?

Where did you get the MP3 from? A music service or was it downloaded from "somewhere else"? Also, what type or memory stick are you using. I think the MagicGate had some type of copyright thing on it, but not sure.

To the best of my knowledge, you only need to use the Magic Gate MS with ATRAC encoding. Otherwise, yes, you run into Sony's copyright protection. But, as far as I know, you can copy mp3s onto your regular MS, no problem. I ripped several of my own off my CDs and put them on a regular 128MB MS and it works great. You might want to check the statistics on the mp3, though. If it was ripped using a variable bit rate, then it won't work on some of the Clie's. I know some that ran fine on my N760C would no longer run on my NX70. I re-encoded it at constant bit rate (and sometimes you may need to play with the bit quality as well) and then they all worked fine on my NX70.
But, since I had problems with this when I moved from my N760C to my NX70, I'm bidding on a 256MB MSPro on ebay right now for when my UX50 comes in. :)

Also check the bitrate and other variables that the MP3 is recorded at. I've seen this message come up when the MP3 is recorded at too low a bit rate.

Yeah, that's what I meant when I mentioned about the bit quality of the mp3. Thanks, sralmas for saying it so that others could understand my muddled attempt!:)

sonicboy,
Sorry, this isn't really a UX question but a AeroPlayer one. Does AeroPlayer allow you to reorder your mp3s?
Thanks.

Hehehe...okay, sonicboy, fair enough! Sorry, I know everyone and his brother have been hounding you with questions. I'm not adverse to doing a little work on my own. Thanks for all the info. you've posted here and on your site!

Okay, I got it....straight from the Aeroplayer site:
Back in the Playlist Editor, you can change the order your songs will be played in by selecting them and using the up and down arrows to rearrange the list.
Great! All the more reason, since the UX 50 seems to be using Palm Standard sound APIs.
Thanks!
