View Full Version : Opening html files with NETFRONT?

Is it possible to open html files stored on the Memory Stick using NETFRONT.

If so where should they be stored and what's the best way to open them.

good question, it would be good if netfront has that feature, like avantgo. But now Netfront doesnt have that feature, unless you look in its history and puttiing in offline mode...

Yes, you can. Put them in the Palm\Programs\MSWEB directory (if it doesn't exist, make one). I prefer viewing HTML files in Picsel Viewer to Netfront though; some rather large images which do not show up in Netfront show up in Picsel Viewer.

yep, I like viewing HTML files via PicselViewer myself as well, it's better as well with the Landscape enabled. :p

I have an NX70 and would love to have this software, is it available to buy somewhere? Or does it only come with the new NXs?

Also you can save to *.mht from Internet Explorer on the PC and put the whole lot including pictures on the Memory Stick (in the MSWEB directory). NetFront calls that a "Page Memo".

You can read those with PicselViewer too, so you can basically browse in landscape mode with NetFront and PicselViewer on the Clie (if you keep switching between the two :D ) PicselViewer does seem to render a lot of sites kinda strange though and it doesn't support javascript. So your PicselViewer mileage may vary.

Another Avantgo option would be to use the autocruise mode. You download all marked pages and you can view them later.

Well a while back you could download it, but I think that was illegal so they asked us to stop doing that. Not sure if you can buy it though. There was a Japanese version on sonystyle.jp
