Can someone please write a simple app?

Can someone please write a little program that calculates the number of graffiti keystrokes it would take to produce a given text, comparing Graffiti 1 to Graffiti 2?  Since each character would have a certain number of strokes associated with it in order to generate that character, and depending upon whether it is G1 or G2 and whether the character appears at the beginning of a sentence, add a stroke for a capital letter in the middle of a sentence with no period before it.  Sounds simple enough, right?

If this is simple enough, why don't you do it yourself? Also, you don't need a program to calculate the stroke, as each character has their pre-defined stroke. So, all you have to do is to associate a number to each character, and then sum up all the numbers before it reaches the end of a sentence.

But what's the purpose of calculating it? What are you trying to solve? Graffiti 1's day are numbered, anyway.
