I'm quite new to NR series. I wonder if there is any easier way to upload pictures taken with the built-in cam and saved in RAM to Picture Gear (PG) on desktop without activating MS Import and reading the picture files from PG. Thanks :)

The easiest I can think of is use the beam function. Thats if you got an IR port on your PC. I use this function with my notebook.

If you have XP, I have found that it is far easier to read the stick as an external drive. You still have to run MSImport on your Clie, but then it is a simple drag and drop operation. HTH

Hotsync it and go to the place where palm desktop is installed normally (C:/program files/sony handheld/username/backup) with Picturegear and do still image format conversion.
Or in preferneces of the camera app, select save as MS (DCF) which will save pictures to jpegs on MS.

It is simple to move the pictures to the MS while in your Clie. Run PG Pocket, at the bottom there are several small icons. Choose the one that looks like a handheld with an arrow "out" (third from the left). That allows you to send the pics to the card, and as Spiral said, save as DCF. You will then find them on your card in a folder called DCIM.
