i was finally able to visit the Sony Show Room in Ginza, and was able to take videos (using my NX), and actually play with the new NZ90...
all i can say for now is that it is really a "BRICK"... i mean, it feels more like a prehistoric handheld (more like a pocketpc, or a newton) than a pda that youd really like to bring anywhere...

Look, I support the NZ and Sony's new innovations, but if someone wants to give their opinion about it being a brick, that's their right. Future NZ owners are upset that people are putting the NZ down and saying we are all jealous, but maybe the truth is that the NZ really is an inferior PDA. Until anyone buys one, we all have equal say in this discussion because none of us is an expert.

Future NZ owners are sick of the non-helpful and inanely repititive comments on the size of the NZ. If they really did see it, give a little more info than their dissatisfaction with it's size.... It has a lot of cool features that could be commented on. The size issue has already been covered quite well...
As for someones right to comment on the NZ's size , inversely the same right exists for fans to give 'em you know what for their unwanted criticisms. Go into a Chevy forum or a MAC forum and see what happens if you dis their product. It ain't gonna be pretty...

Point taken. As long as everyone feels free to express their opinions of the NZ, it's cool. I will defend my NR to the death!!!! (jk). I just wonder how many current NZ supporters will feel differently when they actually get one in their hands. If they do, I hope they speak up and post here.

I was playing around with an NR today, and after having been a relatively long-time Tungsten user (since it was released), the thing felt monstrous and unruly. I ended up playing with it for over an hour though - the thing is just so cool. The interface is amazing and the screen is beautiful.
I'm one of the folks who preordered the NZ. I guess I really don't care how big or heavy it is - after playing with the NR, I realized that I'm a relatively big guy with big hands too. I also wear a lot of cargo pants/shorts, so it won't be that big of a deal.
I know that it won't be anything like my Tungsten, which is ridiculously small (in a good way though). It all depends on how you use the thing. The NZ is not made for folks looking for small, lightweight PDAs. It's a multimedia monster, and damnit I can't wait till mine comes in the mail!

I don't think that it will be too much bigger than the casio e125 pda's from back in the day...considered the all time bricks. We'll have to see though.
