Cbulock, please don't post that thread. That was made before the software was even out.
To find up to date information on Nesem, visit their site.

Well, if you read through the Nes Emulator thread in the games forum, you'll get a feel for what people think of it on the different Clie models, so you might want to start there.
As for me, I bought NesEm about 1.5 weeks ago for my TG50. My first bit of advice would be to immediately get a hold of a GC10 game controller...it will make gaming MUCH easier as you can only map the "main" hardkeys (calendar, phone book, memo, notes, up and down) to be used as controls in NesEm -- you can also use the "home" button and "virtual graffiti" button (I have these set for stat and select, but I don't know if you can map them to do other stuff). Using the standard keys makes gaming very difficult because it becomes extremely hard to go "up and right" or any other diagonal direction.
With the GC10, MAKE SURE you use the GC10 driver that came on your TG50 Software CD (driver version 2.10 I think), NOT the one that comes with the GC10 (version 2.00). The 2.00 driver worked okay for awhile for me, but later I could not hotsync...the TG50 would just go into a never-ending beep and I had to soft reset to get out of it. Once I killed the GC10 driver, everything was okay. I then used the GC10 driver from the TG50 cd and had no problems. Also, I was able to map the start and select buttons to the extra two buttons on the GC10 (not a choice with the older driver).
Now, about the program. Kalemsoft has made a great effort to design a high-quality emulator -- but it's definitely not perfect yet. Using Super Mario Brothers as an example. The music is pretty good. The display size is okay -- it does not fill up the entire TG50 screen -- look through the posts in the games thread adn they'll explain why. The ROM works really nicely in that I did not experiance any slowdowns. However, the controls were a bit off. Im' not sure if it's the hardware (TG50 and GC10) or the software (NesEm), but when you have more than a couple buttons depressed at the same time, they don't all "register"...like if you want to jump diagonally or "hook" around an object directly above you.
The number of games supported is growing, but my feeling is that they're just supporting more games to get more sales versus taking their time and perfecting the emulation for each game. For instance, Castlevania is said to be supported. However, I tried it and couldn't use the "special" weapons...which makes the game all but impossible to beat.
All in all, I'm happy with the purchase but hope that Kalemsoft will improve on the games currently "supported" before rushing in and doing shabby jobs with more ROMs.

ClieT615c, this person, by reading that thread, will get a feeling of how the OLD version worked. That's why I directed them away from the thread.

If you read through the whole thread, you will see there is still an active discussion going on there. That's why I directed them there.

So, Rob^2
Are you posting just to get more posts? I think the answer is "Presactly"
NesEm is great... only thing missing is save states for any game.
