I just preordered my UX 50..and extra charging cradle...and screen protector. The Sony Canada web site said that the UX arrives in Canada on Sept 2 - my order said it will not ship until Sept 21! I wonder what they are going to do with my new toy for 19 days?!?

In the US, shipping doesn't begin until September 12. I haven't been notified what my date is... Oh well...

Actually, the Sony online store states that they will ship the Clie UX50 on or BEFORE September 12. Does it mean there is a possibility that they will be rolling out these units earlier (like two weeks earlier)? I can't wait for mine to be delivered. There is a seller on eBay claiming that he will be shipping out US versions of the Clie UX50 on August 26 - I'm not sure if this info is accurate or not. Well, few more days of waiting I guess.

has anyone noticed that mobileplanet says the ux40 is shipping 2-3 days????

Yeah, you're correct, their site says that the CLie UX40 will be shipping out in 2-3 days and the Clie UX50 on August 29. Should I cancel my order with SONY then? Probably not, because I was dissatisfied with Mobileplanet when I ordered my Ipaq 5555, they claimed that they will be shipping it out earlier than the HP official release date, but turned out they were not able to deliver, I think it just a way of enticing customers to order from them hoping to receive the item earlier. I ended up ordering my Ipaq 5555 directly from HP. Same sitatiuon here, I will stick with my SONY online store order. Can't wait for my first Sony Clie PDA!!!
