Guys,

A friend of mine was playing around with the swivelling screen action when he unintentionally made a tiny 1 cm scratch on the top cover of my NX70 (bottom left side of the CLIE logo).

Other than just living with it, is there anything I can apply on the NX to make the scratch 'go away'?

Aaargh, only 1 month old and already my beloved NX has a scratch!!!

Get used to it, after 7 months, my NR is missing paint in areas. it's a sign that it's not just a trophy girlfriend....

Someone before posted that nail polish was good to use .

It's the same feeling as that first dent on your new car...

If only people were careful with shopping carts

if it were on the screen you could pick up displex, that cleans it up nice....

Nail polish... hmmm.. I'll go ask my girlfriend for some, then.. Thanks, khakiman...

Nah, the scratch is on the actual metal body (just below the colorful CLIE logo), not on the screen... :(

Look for Revlon "Chrome" nail polish.

Got my first scratch on my NX70V today. Same place as yours, I think: lower left hand corner of the cover.

Sob.

To all:

This is the BEST stuff there is!!!!!

I used it on my NX and now I can't really see the scratches, excpet that I know where they are and even then I have to tilt it and look closely!!!:)

I assume you are using this on the screen, not the case, right?

I also have a gunmetal NX and three cans of pleix plaster cleaner. Thankfully, I do not have a scratch on the body but I heard those spray should work on the body also. Give it a try! It cleans the screen very nicely.

Okay, I've ordered this stuff, but my expectations are pretty low.  The scratch on my NX is pretty deep, all the way to the metal.

Has anyone actually used Revlon "chrome" polish on their NX?  Please share your experiences.  (And did you wear marching lip gloss?)

I scratched and 'wacked' my NX early on  and have removed both the scratch and the 'wack' mark, with a plain, red pencil eraser. The scratch is entirely gone and there is a very, slight discoloration from where I wacked it left over.

*sigh* When I wacked it, I almost criied. :(

I'll shell out more $$$ on a case... and some MSs to cheer me up... and perhaps a new stylus..., just to ward off depression and show my Clie how much I love it...

Hmm, I should get this for my iPod! I'd be uncomfortable rubbing on the painted surface of my NX though...

LSA, tell us how it goes! (is the NX80 coating much different than the NX70?)

I have the NX70 and use it on mine all the time to diminish a deep scratch it got early in it's life and too keep it clean and looking good. I also use it over the screen protector too, to clean it and it hasn't hurt it yet.
