What are all those tiny files?

I am trying to manage memory on my NX80. I see that there are tons of small files, but have no idea which are essential or even which files are associated with which applications. For all I know, some of these may be bits of programs I deleted... I still don't quite understand all the pieces of the Clie puzzle...

I recall reading somewhere about an application that can somehow tell which files were created by or associated with which programs... some kind of "creator I.D." or something like this.

Can anyone lead me to an app. that can do this? Thanks in advance - I have appreciated the helpful spirit here.

You can use any file manager to search and sort files by creator ID. Filez is a freeware app that can do this. It can be found at Handango or PalmGear.

Some might be the "a68k" files created by every application, and they are usually 84bytes in size. Please see the link below for a more detailed explaination, Thanks!
