I thought I was just mistaken the first time it happened, but it has happened to me twice more now. I have a list of songs from my Ipod that I dumped onto a CF card and now use using Mini's CF hacks. A few of the songs are VBR MP3's, and I kept meaning to delete them. However, the other day, "Beautiful Day" by U2 began playing. In the past this song had always created an error. I am playing my songs through the new car cradle in my car, btw. So I took my Clie out of the cradle checked various settings to see how I had it setup, I place it back in the cradle, and it gave me an error on that song as it usually does. Now in the last week two other songs that are VBR along with "Beautiful Day" randomly will correctly play. For the life of me I cannot determine what is different when the songs will and won't play. Just thought I would pass it along because I know some are interested in playing VBR MP3's. Apparently, there most be something that can be done to allow these songs to play.

tjpyles,
Please post your copy of your VBR MP3 file of "A beautiful Day" somewhere on the net, then private message me the address. Don't worry about copyright, I already own the album. I am willing to take the time and do extensive testing on my NX80 and see exactly what is going on with this - if your file gives me a clue, there might be a way to "trick" the NX80 into playing other VBR files.
Thanks,
Bawko

Well, VBR recorded files don't work on my NX80. I keep waiting for NetFront one day to automatically switch to landscape mode... :D

Atomic Chicken,
I checked the board from home and saw your message. I am headed out and will try to post this tomorrow from work. Silly question, but I don't have any access to a location to post, any recommendations?

tjpyles,
Hmmm..... I really couldn't help you there - I don't currently have any web space available to me. My email account has a 1MB limit to file size, so you can't email the file to me - unless you split it into a bunch of 500K files and sent them at different times. Perhaps you could set up an FTP server on your computer? I think there are some free FTP server software packages out there you could use....
One other option - maybe someone on this board has some web space they would let you host the file temporarily until I download it? I'm grasping at straws here....
Let me know what you think.
Thanks,
Bawko

You two might want to try AIM or Yahoo messenger or any IMing program if both of you have it. I know most can do file transfers.

a_clie_er,
I have tried this in the past, using both MSN and Yahoo messengers to transfer files, and it won't work with my firewall setup. I don't really understand why, I guess I need some network training to really understand why :D
Best wishes,
Bawko
