Does anyone know if a workaround has been developed enabling Mac users to hot sync via LAN card (WiFi/802.11b)?
Last I heard it has not. I was very disappointed when I tried to set up Wifi hotsync. Apparently they just didn't bother to put it as a connection option on Palm Desktop for Mac. I don't see why it should be a technical problem, hopefully they can just include it in an update. It would be great if some enterprising 3rd party felt like making a workaround for it, though.

i bought a bluetooth usb unit at macmall and have been able to hotsync on both my imac and my tibook ...i have a nz90 ...it takes a little patience getting both aligned but it is worth it
Yeah, I got BT hotsync working but it was very slow and was more trouble than just bringing the Clie to the cradle.

This site makes reference to using a mac for wireless hotsync, but gives no instructions how to do so. I'm using Isync for a USB hotsync, which is pretty cool indeed.

Palm really dropped the ball by not including this functionality on their OS X version of Palm Desktop. One potential workaround is to install the Windows version of Palm Desktop on a Mac using Virtual PC. I am considering this approach as I would really like to be able to wirelessly sync my Tungsten C to my Powerbook, and there is no Bluetooth card for the Tungsten C to date :( .

but if you have a mac, why would you want all your PIM data in virtual PC??? Maybe you should just get a PC notebook right?

I participated in an iSync forum tonight and I asked the developers about wifi syncing on the mac.. They answered and said it was the hotsync issue on the palm side. Once they get that transport working, they can easily incorporate that into iSync. C'mon Palm... where are you?
