I don't know about you, but the stock stylus bothers me to use.
It seems like the serrated plastic tab saws at my finger over time.

When I was running my m125/m130, I discovered PDA Panache upgrade styli (http://www.pdapanache.com/products.asp?PID=SSJ) .

I just ordered one for my SJ33 in black, though a chrome option is available too.

PDA Panache makes a great upgrade stylus. The plated brass feels much nicer, even on the smaller size styli. Not that the SJ33 needs it, but the upgrade stylus also has an endcap that unscrews to reveal a reset pin!

I should have mine by sometime early next week. I'll report on it when it arrives.

Oh, they also ship a free pen-sized stylus with your order, and they are fantastic to use.

I've used PDA Panache for both my SJ30 and NX70V. I've been happy with them.

I got one of those several years ago when I got my IIIxe. Scratched the hell outta my screen.

Put it under a loupe before you use it.

(My previous one didn't cause problems.)

I am about to upgrade to an SJ33 from a handspring visor that I've been using forever. One of the nice additions that I bought for it was a chameleon stylis by pentopia that has a built in pen. It's great because it fits in the PDA stylus slot, so I always have a pen handy.

Is there such a thing for the SJ33? The Pentopia website doesn't have one for the SJ33, they only have them for CLIE PEG-S300 and PEG-N700C - would this fit an SJ 33?

Thanks for any help!

Brando Workshop has a stylus with pen and reset tip that fits the SJ series.

Try this one:

http://www.styluscentral.com/styl3in1styl4.html

It fits my SJ-22 like the OEM stylus, plus it is just as ugly and has the same lousy feel! :)

But you're right, it is handy to always have it available in the Clie's silo. For general use, I prefer the comfort Grip Shorty:

http://www.styluscentral.com/2in1comgrips.html

Very nice balance and feel and they don;t cost and arm and a leg.

That shorty looks like a nice one.

The shorty is my favorite out of all I've tried. It's comforatble to use, actually writes very nice and has a good heft to it. There is one other stylus combo that is quite neat, a combo pen/stylus/laser pointer, about $7 It hink, also at Styluscentral.com. I did buy that one too, mainly for the laser pointer.

Oh great.
PDA panache got my order here post haste, but with the wrong stylus! They sent me a chrome when I ordered a black!
(Still nice, but doesn't quite match if you ask me.)

I'm sure they'll work it out, but I'm keeping the freebie stick stylus in the meantime! :D

Sorry for the delay on this.
To their credit, they sent the replacement out right away, and included a mailer to send the old one back.

The black upgrade stylus isn't as slippery as the chrome one. It has a more secure feel. (Looks better with the SJ33 too!)

They are both, however, of the same excellent quality that one can expect from PDA Panache.

I heartiliy recommend them.

I had a great stylus I used on my old Handspring Prism with a rubber tip, a cross pen also. What a different it made! Smooth writing. Its too big for my sony clie sj33. Anyone know if there's a clie stylus out there somewhere with a rubber tip?

Ahh, the Cross MicroPen - wore the hell outta the thing w/ my m105 ... When I order Christmas gifts (for my Mom - a harcase, SD Card and PDAPanache Stylus for her Zire 71), I'll be getting a PDA Panache for my SJ-33 ... I WISH THEY COULD MAKE THE MICROPEN FOR IT! It was one of the most comfortable styli I've ever used, full-size pen replacements included ...

www.innopocket.com has some nice choices. some that come with ink pens built in. Very well weighted and feel good in your hand. I have not had a problem scratching my screen either.
