Hi,
Hexacto was supposed to release a hi-res version of Lemonade Inc that has more features as well... It was supposed to be released "shortly" several months ago - has anyone heard of any development here?

I e-mail them 5 TIMES about that, and not once did I receive a reply back saying they going to do this soon, or that they had received my e-mail, A**Holes! They took my $20 and ran.

To me, the only reliable for the PalmOS gaming industry is Astraware.

They do list a phone number on their web site.. .514-395-2882. If I remember, I'll call them tomorrow during business hours...
It might be worth someone sending them an e-mail (but NOT through their auto-feedback/question system - those never get read from what I hear...) to info@hexacto.com explaining to them that there are a number of upset people on different Clie and Palm OS boards upset with Hexacto's failure to release info on development news for the hi-res Lemonade....
I volunteer to call - anyone wanna put an e-mail together? :)

I just got off the phone with Hexacto. I was informed that they have "not even put the hi-res version together yet".
Just great.
I guess we've been suckers.... I thought "released shortly" meant a month or two...

I have seen their software support to be on par with the support of LauncherX. NOT THERE AT ALL. Not to mention a complete lack of updates, upgrades, etc.
I got suckered by the "Hi-Res version coming soon" boondoggle too. Lesson learned, I guess.

Thanks for calling them Jeremy. I think we ALL thank you.
I Like it was said in a post here early Astraware is the most reliable software vendor. I bought a POPCAP Game pack from Astraware 2 years ago for $30.00, and look I have all new games now, and updates are "FREE" and there Hi-Res with Sound!!
Go Astraware!

How has Hexacto "ripped" you off when you paid $20 for it and got what was delivered according to the demo version? They have not promised a specific date for a hi-res version of Lemonade and said it may be in the pipeline.
The issue of hi-res is outside of the contract made between you and Hexacto when you purchased Lemonade. You had an opportunity to demo the game and assessed the purchase of this software based on the demo.
The expectation of a hi-res version "coming real soon" as part of your purchase decision means you just got suckered by some sales-talk and you wanted an item before it existed. You got what was offered - which was not what you expected.
I make a purchase on what is on offer in the demo version. No more and no less. Promises may be made, but the software industry has shown that these dates and figures can be "rubbery" at best! A case of Caveat Emptor! (Let the buyer beware!)

Yes this is very true...All we can do is hold are breath.
Besides there are other great games out on the market.

When I spoke to Hexacto by phone, the gentleman I spoke with told me he would be getting in touch with me through e-mail. This is the response I got:
Hello,
As discussed here is the information that I have regarding Lemonade in high res format. We do plan on creating a version in high res but will be releasing high res versions of a few other games first.
I'm sorry that you feel that you have been mis-led to believe that a high res version would be released sooner rather than later. Release dates are quite hard to pin down 100% of the time.
Since December I have been mandated to handle Quality Assurance and Customer Service. Knowing the folks here, I can say that there is no desire on anyones part to scam our customers. It's just that if there is going to be an upgrade, we want to make a noticable improvement and not just sharpening of the resolution.
Thanks for your call.

Ok, this being said, I respectfully disagree with Yorrick. This isn't a question of standard sales-talk, this is a question of clearcut misrepresentation. To quote the Hexacto web-site, " A 320x320 version of the game with added features is also in the works and will be available shortly as a free upgrade to Lemonade Tycoon owners."
Now I don't know about you, but although it is not explicitely stated, the sense I get from this paragraph is that they are working on the upgrade and it will be released soon. This quote has been up there since at least November, and now the company is conceding that they have not even began working on the hi-res version yet. Frankly, they should have been more forthcoming - it now sounds like we won't be seeing the upgrade for quite some time.

Sure enough, it still says "A 320x320 version of the game with added features is also in the works and will be available shortly as a free upgrade to Lemonade Tycoon owners." on their website.
I was at one point condering purchasing this product based on that fact. However, the holidays came and it slipped my mind until I saw this post, luckily.
This is not sales-talk, shortly means "not long; in the near future". This promise has been up for three months and now we are hearing they haven't even started the process! That's a false claim.
I, for one, will not buy from this game manufacturer in the future.
That is quite wrong of them to do as I remember them on this site addressing that issue saying soon as well.
