I have just posted my new YiShow skin on the skins page and it will be on my website cliemax.co.uk by tonight, the one on my site will have the bundled background image which I made for this skin. I finally came up with a name the skin 'interface' I hope you like it.
You will find new icons for a couple of clie apps, although I'm waiting for the info to make new OS5 icons as they are not included in my skin maker. Also there are new folder graphics in MS mode.
As usual it's free and I would love some feedback.http://www.cliesource.com/sdownload/preview.php?id=4526

That looks really great. Unfortunately I no longer use YiShow, but if you ever made a ZL version, it would go on my Clie!

Agreed, very nice work. I especialy like the 3D-ish look of the top and bottom bar. Oh, and I still use YiShow, ZLauncher is just to busy and bulky.

How does the "Quick Launch Bar" look?

I will be sure to check it out and load it up tonight!!

Okay, I'm with the 'rest' . . . it's a fabulous skin. It would be AWESOME if you'd consider making a ZL version . . . or maybe some talented individual would volunteer to compile it with your bitmaps . . . if you're not interested in doing it.

Whaddaya say?

One more to compliment your skin. Looks great, what are the chances of it coming in zlauncher?

WOW so glad everyone likes it. There seems to be a demand for a Z launcher version, there isn't one yet but I am experimenting whether I can replicate the effect over to Z Launcher.

I have a question to put to everyone All of my YiShow skins are free downloads, I have been doing this for a while now and it seems to be taking more and more of my time although I still enjoy doing it I wander if people would be prepared to part with a dollar or two at most for a new skin. I know this can be a touchy subject from what I have read on other threads, some people would brand me a traitor and money grabber but I see others fully understand and respect the effort that goes into creating new work. I don't want to spark off a massive row on this thread I am just curious to whether people are willing to pay or whether the 'why buy it if you can get something similiar somewhere else for free' attitude rules.

cheers for now ( I'm off to work on Interface/Z Launcher style)

I'm so glad you're considering a ZL version! I can't wait to see it. But before you get started, I hope you won't mind if I point out one of the pitfalls that a lot of ZL skin designers fall into: Because the top & bottom bar buttons are very tiny, skin designers often make the mistake of trying to squeeze too much graphic content into the buttons, and they're so small you can't even see what they are. A skin which is somewhat similar to yours is this OSX motif here: http://www.cliesource.com/sdownload/fileinfo.php?id=4250
As with many OSX and some XP skins, the designer has included the folder image in addition to the graphic that tells you what the button does. This means that the important part of the button, which differentiates it from the other 10 buttons next to it, is only a few pixels wide. IMO the best skins are the ones where the function of the button can be pretty acurately guessed with just a quick glance.

Hope you don't mind my suggestion, and I look forward to seeing more of your skins! :)

I would gladly pay for this skin if you made it to ZLauncher.;)

first of all re- kp's advice thanks, noted.

second I am glad to hear that people would be prepared to pay a small amount for a ZL skin.

I am currently looking in to the conversion , but there will have to be some alterations from the way I understand Z Launcher ( I don't use it by the way) I'll keep you posted.

thanks again.

Would one more reply make you consider just a little bit harder? If so count this one as it. We're greedy for zlauncher skins; especially the nicer one.

ir803, I am interested in creating YiShow skins of my own. Can you tell me how you do it? I have looked around cliesource for the tutorials or any info and to no avail. So I tot I might as well ask you. :)
