View Full Version : I just noticed this weird pic on Palms new PalmOne website !!!

Okay, I know this site is for CLIE'S but I thought this was really weird. When you go to this (http://store.palm.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1283240) page and go down to "Other Views" and click expansion you see a pic of the Zire 71 with a 320X480 screen. Now this is on Palm's actual website, what is with this????? Here is the pic:

What makes you think that's a 320x480 screen? Just looks like a standard Zire at an angle to me.

that is exactly as stated, another view. from that view, it looks longer, but it is the same zire71 and screen.

Well I though it looked like a 320X480 screen because it looks like there is no dedicated grafiti area. Maybe it is just from this view that you can't see the grafiti area but it just looks like it isn't there at all.

Well I think everyone is right, its just a reflection :( But, if the Zire 71 really did have a 320X480 screen it would be great, I think Palm would make a killing!

the screens of Palm's Zire 71 and Tungsten C shatter easily. I hope they improve the screen build quality before they consider the added fragility of a larger 320x480 screen.

Did anybody else complete the survey HERE (http://rmrsurveys.com/307176b/) Looks like some marketing research for palm and future 320x480 devices. I got the email to complete the survey about one month ago. Looks like a new Zire and current Tungsten|C (Zire with 320x480) are being studied. But you have to chose that you own or owned a palm in order to complete the entire survey. I tried to skim the survey and just entered that I had sony and it ended right away. The first time I replied I entered my previous device, the Vx and it took me through a whole bunch of designs for new palms.
