Just wanted to share a weird experience I had this weekend. Attended a party in Croydon, SE London, and bumped into four or five NX owners just like that (about 40 at the event).

I was the only gunmetal NX70V thankfully (lot of NX60’s), and two owners without their machines. Very weird indeed, bit of the Twilight zone!

Just makes you think how hard the NX is selling if you can see this kind of penetration in suburbia. I just wonder if Palm is dead in the water!

`Palm dead in the water`!? Well, I wouldn`t say so. They just bought Handspring and changed their name to PalmOne. I guess that one can expect some new machines in 2004. Not sure how fast PalmSource is working.

No, just a family event, some friends of the hoasts and people from the street. Zero work related. I had a jacket on to hide my nerd factor, but one guy turned up with his NX in his top pocket!

Maybe England went NERD while I was in the States!

They still call their devices Palm <model name>. It would be stupid to change the name into PalmOne as the Palm brand name is well established. PalmOne is the hardware part and PalmSource is the software part. That`s all.
