Thanks I will give it a try. I have a NZ90 so I might as well see the big picture.

not every apps works, so you better look for programs that natively support that. :)

Thanks again I really just want to use WEB PRO and Snapper mail with this. I have tested WEB PRO no worries. The program only seems to work with those in main memory is that true? I really like my Clie only hassle is the battery is not to clever. So hence I will buy a back up battery and maybe even the Sony power pack that uses normal small battries. Regards Joe

yes, code diver like other background running program needs to be always in RAM.
NZ is quite nice a machine, but yeah, the battery life's really a problem. the NX80 is a better balance between functionality and battery life IMHO, and i will really love the see a NX with Bluetooth.

Yes I agree about the battery no doubt and agree about the NX80. I live in England but am on business most of the time here in Moscow. I bought the NZ here in Moscow for $700.00 not knowing about the NX80 release. I will now save and get a UX50 later but will wait to hear end user reports on this forum. Blue tooth is important for me as is Wi Fi. So hence this would have ruled out the NX80. I did look at the TG50 but the screen is to small and the key board is terrible and of course no Wi Fi slot. The NX80 is $650 here in Moscow. Take care and good luck in life.

I have to disagree with the above posts in regards to the battery of the NZ being a problem.
I have been using an NZ for 6 months now, and the battery has gotten better as it's been used more. I had the worst battery performance in the first month or two using the NZ, and yes then it seemed to be a problem... however now the battery lasts quite a long time. After a full charge I can use my NZ regularly for about 3-4 days before it needs to be charged again. I personally use my NZ about 1.5 hours per day playing games, .5 hours a day writing w/ grafiti (notes, appointments, phone numbers,etc..), and on average take 1 to 2 photos per day w/o flash... maybe one short video in that period as well. The NZ does fine, and it's battery has gotten much stronger the more I've used it. anyway, just my 2cents

i think the life of the battery will be heavily dependent on the number of photos you snap each day and whether you use flash or not....
if you only take 1-2 photos per day......yes i think you can use it for pretty long....

No doubt the camera and flash are a huge drain on the battery, but that is the price you pay for this unmatched ability. Aside from this, if not using the camera the battery of my NZ outlasts the battery on a friends NX70/V, which was purchase less than a month before I got my NZ. It is much better than many would leave you to believe.
By the way, kind of amusing. This same friend jumped ship and bought an ipaq H5555 about a month or so ago, and now he is so taken by the UX50 that if he could get one today he'd sell the HP for salvage to get his hands on the UX. We'll see what happens in a month or so when the UX50 is available.

OK OK I was a little hasty in my comments about a UX50. First place if it was the be all and end all I would not even think of parting with cash till next spring. I saved for this NZ90 and have had it only for 2 weeks so with the above comments there is great hope. Just drain the battery a few dozen times. It does make sense. This is a great machine and I like it very much. I had a pocket PC for sometime and what a load of rubish. I parted with my Palm III for that IPAQ and what a mistake. It is good to have a fun but serious machine in the NZ. I use Repligo, Quickoffice, Acid Image, World Mate, Snapper Pro, Pocket Link, Super Utility, Avantgo, BT Toggle, Picsel Viewer, Web Pro and Netfront. All software is launched from a memory stick Pro. This forum is great with very many helpful and kind people. Regards Joe

yep I totally agree about the NZ's battery.
It drains quick if using the flash for photos. I think the Flash is what drains it so quickly. I can snap lot's of photos but as soon as I use the Flash the battery drains quick!

When I take lots of photos I carry my spare battery. I fpund a great little pouch for my battery and wifi card too. By accident I discovered my Oakley pouch that I usually used to house the spare lenses of my HalfJacket glasses is the perfect fit. It has a pocket within the puch that fits the card perfectly. So I carry both things in the same pouch that is really tiny but protects them both well.
