I am an owner of an N760C and I think it's been killed by dust. Well not technically killed yet, but I've tried to clean the dust out, but I can't get this one particular screw out which won't allow me to fully clean it. The digitizer is shot. Long story short... it's been shelved for 4 months.

Now I can't take it anymore, as I rely on my Clie for MP3 playback at the gym. I am going insane. i am considering picking up the SJ-33 because it is relatively cheap ($190 online).

Does the SJ-33 have a dust problem like the N-Series did? Most times, I keep my PDA in my pocket, and you all know how dusty and linty pockets can get. Has dust & lint getting in between the screen/digitizer been a problem?

Long Answer: The dust is mainly a problem with reflective displays, like the one in the N760C, as there is an airspace so the front lights can work. With transflective displays, like the one in the SJ-33, there is no such space as the screen is lit from behind, so dust is usually no problem.

Short Answer: No.

That was the big relief for me, I had about 3-4 specs in my N760 which were irritating but none whatsoever in my SJ33. (due to technical reasons mentioned by another poster no doubt)

Yeah, the dust is interferring with the digitizer and just screwed it up. I'm glad the problem has been helped.
