This post will probably bring down the wrath of NX80 hell upon me, but I'm currious.

I really like how the NX80 looks, it's beutifully designed over all previous NR style clam shells IMHO. But why did SONY use plastic for the camera tube? when I was tinkering with one this weekend, it felt cheap compared to my aging NR. I'm not saying my aging NR is a better PDA, it just feels more durable when holding it. ( Probably because it's heavier. ) The NX80 felt kind of like SONY skimped on the materials to cut cost.

This made me wonder about the UX.

How much of the UX is plastic? How does it feel compared to previous Clie's? Does it feel like it's worth it's price?

I really want one, but for about $700 I don't want it to feel like it's mostly plastic. I want it to feel solid like my NR.

I've never tinkered with a NZ so I have no opinion about them.

Hopefully the UX will be built in the fashion of the NZ - it is SOLID!
Of course it doesn't have the rotating camera, and you're right, when I played with the NX80 the camera did seem a little too light weight, almost flimsy. Only time will tell if it holds up under stress.

In my previous post I didn't mean to imply I don't like the NX80, quite the opposite. Once I got a chance to play with one I found it to be a pleasure to use. I'm just wondering at what point does lightweight become TOO lightweight?

Thanks, I just need to hold one in my hand now to see how it feels.
