View Full Version : Looking for a Popup Memo app for NX series

Anyone know of a stable "Popup" Memopad app that is compatible with the NX series?

-I tried "PopUp Note" from Benc software, but it doesn't list the memos properly.
-I tried DAMemoPad, but it consistently crashed my NX70V.
-I tried TealPad, and though it is definatly stable and I can launch it with ZLauncher's Quick Launcher+, it uses its own notes database and not the native Memo databse.

What I am looking for is a window that will pop up in any app that will let me, at the very least, view native Palm Memos.

It can be a DA, a Hack, or a "Palm OS5-friendly" app.

Any suggestions?

Jim, I have used DAMemoPad for a number of years now and have never had a crash with it. I'm using it on an NX80V now and it still works wonderfully - one of my most used apps.

Maybe it's the DA launcher you are using to launch it? I'm using McPhling to launch my DAs and all is fine. DALauncher 5.0b6 also works well on OS 5 machines - maybe you could try one of these?

Just tried launching DAMemoPad via Quick Launcher + in ZLauncher and it crashes straight away. :( I recommend trying a different DA Launcher out for the time being.

Yea, it crashses wiht zlauncher quicklaunch, but it works fine with McPhling. I have had a few crashses with it, but not consistently.

If you launch SelectDA from Quick Launcher and then select DAMemoPad, does it crash? I don't have DAMemoPad so I can't test this.

I disabled QuickLaunch+ and re-enabled McPhling, and now DAMemoPad works GREAT! This is excellent!

No probs! Like I said - an excellent app. :D Someone should report this to ZZtechs though ...........

How did you even get Quick Launch to recognize DAMemoPad? Are there any programs like this that will work in QL?
