Hi,

Now with per-application settings, better compatibility, peripheral frequency control, and [poor] documentation.

This is a release candidate #1.

I'm using 2.5 now and it's exactly what I wamted!

I already put wordsmith and agendus my card's launcher.

I was reluctant to do this before, but now the apps open much quicker.

All spreadsheets and docs open the way they did on 1.0 (very quick), but without the errors of 1.5.

I wanted settings to survive reset and now they do and without the issues of 1.5.

Nice work!

And to think, I bought Lightspeed. Whoops.

This is shareware too. The main thing this has over lightspeed is:

TG50(PXA250 version) overclockable to 300mhz not 265mhz

Global clocking (you can clock everything including card apps in one setting, but at the same time have the option to change specific apps)

you can go up to 300 mhz with lightspeed...if you play around witht the settings

You guys have sort of crappy devices. My TG50 with PXA250B2 cpu can be overclocked to 471MHz and I don't have any problems except that it gets warm. And I wanted to trade it for the one that had flash rom... I'm glad I didn't.

Other differences comparing to lightspeed:

- pxa clocker reports correct and more detailed cpu info
- it can enable/disable clock for peripheral devices, both globally and per application.
- it is 5 times less in size

Thanks.

dose anybody have and working settings on the NX-80?

Is there an actual 15 day trial? Or is it there for future versions?

This new version works great on my nx73v up to 398mhz. I have noticed that it does not restore frequency after launching clie camera. My clie goes back to 199mhz. It used to work with version 1.5. ANything I can do?
it would be good to see more comments in the read me file regarding some of the tweaks that can be applied. I do understand all the settings in the options dialog.

sigalf:

Well, apparently PalmOS does not send ApplicationQuit notification when Clie Camera quits. It probably does not use standard API to terminate applcation. I'll add workaround for such applications it in the next release.

minhaferzz:

There is an actual 15-day trial, read documentation. PXA Clocker will stay functional after that period, but functionality will be affected.

i can't get it to run at that speed. would need a reset for me. I got a pxa250 as well.

Nice work Flashseeker! Does this release allow you to run Flash overclocked? or is it still the same problem as the camera?
Well in any case, once Flash works I'm buying it!!!

I can't go above 300 on my NX80 without instantly crashing. I also experience the camera issue - resets to 200 each time I use it.

Sigalf,

What settings are you using on the NX73 to achieve that level? I can't get there without crashing.

I use 97, x2, 2 to achieve the 398. it's the best I can do. I does crash from time when accessing the memory stick though. the most stable setting I used is 118, x2, x.1.5 to get to 350. flashseeker has changed something from the free 1.5 version which was working ok when using clie camera or flash and restoring properly. Too bad he does not acknowledge it. I won't buy this version till it's fixed. Would be good also to get explanations from him on all the tweaks you can apply or the recommended settings

When I try this setting, I immediately lock up with the led for the mem stick lit up. Which requires numerous resets to get it back.

I really want to buy but won't until the camera issue is fixed and it has a little better direction.

with my NX60 and the MS Pro 512, I am running 98, x2, x1.5 yielding 298.598MHz.

speedy says I am getting 5000! I have not found a faster setting that runs without lockup.

A problem with Clie Camera and other applications that don't restore default frequency will be fixed in version 2.6

The 2.6 will also include support for 'shortcut applications' that load and run main program from memory stick. PowerRun is an example.

2.6 will be released later this week.
Check palmgear.com for updates.

Thanks.
