So I kind of dropped my nice new Clie - not a big drop, just one of those I'm in the process of sitting down and it slides off my notebook and bounces of my leg and falls onto the hard but carpeted office floor. No functional damage, everything seems to work fine. However, when I shake the clie front-to-back near my ear, I can hear a soft clink sound. Not when I shake side-to-side, just front-to-back. I never did the shake test before I dropped it, so I have nothing to compare to.

Could you guys give it a try and let me know. I hope I didn't damage it.

THANKS

I have dropped mine(fell out of my jacket pocket) onto a hard bare concrete garage floor the first week that I had it. I shake it now, but I hear NO clinking sound!

I tend to be selfish with my 70, not letting most people hold it when i want to show them something on it. Well, yesterday I gave in to my wife and handed it to a friend of mine to watch the new Matrtix trailer....she promptly dropped it. It came through unscathed. Wish my wife would have been around to hear me say I told you so.

Have you tried shaking it while securing your hold button and strap eyelet? Those are the two things that are loose on mine.
