I am about to load up one of the Hacks either from pelaca or mini; I have an NX80 so at this point eruware is not an option. However, if something better is to come down the road, I am curious as to if one of these hacks is easier or harder to uninstall than the other. I am setting up my NX80 with the new Car Cradle, and I want to be able to load maps and MP3s on to a 1 gig CF card. Any suggestions on which one of these two driver hacks will be easier to remove? Thanks.

I found if using mini's CF Patch, on my NX80V, and you use the CF Audio Player it will load a copy of itself into RAM that can not be removed without doing a hard reset. I could not remove it with CLIE FIles or the LauncherX delete and changing properties for this file in FileZ, to get it to be able to be deleted, seems to cause system crashes.

Yeah, I had a heck of a time too. Make several good backups before adding the CF patches.

helmutk, I thought you resolved this by disabling the background play before deleting. Am I wrong?

Burns;
By disabling/enabling the Background Play of the Audio Player it resolves the problem of Mp3s not being seen properly on the MS or CF cards using mini's patch.
The persistent duplicate copy of the CF Audio Player (mini's patched app) in RAM, which can not be removed without a hard reset, is still a problem for me. This does not happen with the three other patched applications.
It is 158K in size and I hide it in a hidden folder using LauncherX.
It's a small price to pay for being able to use the CF for the audio and video applications.

FYI...
I was able to remove the copy of the CFAudio Player application that automatically gets copied into RAM, after installing mini's CF utility patch, without doing a hard reset.
Every time you use the CFAudio Player application, that is on a CF or MS card, it will put a copy of itself in RAM. The other three CF utilities from mini's patch do not do this.
I had moved it to a hidden LauncherX folder but I had to hard reset to permanently remove it.
I found that if you remove the CF card and then do a soft reset you can then delete the CFAudio Player copy from RAM using CLIE Files.
It will return if you use the CFAudio Player utility again but this is a much cleaner way of restoring back to original rather than having to hard reset.
Thanks again mini for adding great additional features to the NX73/80!

It's still messy, as Sony could have eliminated most of this.
