I tried installingNEt Front today onto my clie and found that after doing th whole song and dance of installing from the Clie CD I have, that it does not appear in the launcher on my clie. I found that the 2 MB installer .prc file is on my clie, but ownly viewable through the clie files application. How do I acess this, or install it to use?

you must have 6 MB free on Clie to install NetFront

Make sure you have at LEAST 6 mb free on the NX before the install. NetFront creates temp files during the process and needs the elbow room. Delete the file currently on your NX (the 2 mb installer), clear 6 mb and go at it again.

Do you need Power run to move Netfont to the MS? I don't have any web app on my clie yet. I have Web Pro V from my TT still and may try that. But n2ifp why do you hate netpro and why does it need all that room?

You dun really need the 6MB, if you have install the Netfront and was wireless device are you using? The Wifi or Blurtooth?
Once you have the driver setup, the icon will appear and make sure all setting are correct and there you go and surf the internet wireless.
(This is how I got my NX70V to work :P)

Yes, it is a BIG files and takes up all the MB on your clie. I uses PowerRun 1.2 (Which was just out and I recently just upgrade to)
I am using Wifi Card, so to enable the card to read NETFRONT from the MS, you will have to launch the Netfront first before plugging the Wifi card in.
Hope this helps

Because, IMHO the application is crap! Until recently you couldn't load it to the memory stick. It is slooooooooow, cumbersome, and awkward, to use. In order to get it to work you have to disable most of it's features. Anytime I wanted to navigate a page, I had to sit here and wait for things to reload. I was constantly getting web page too large errors, even with the cache killed. I didn't want to have a lifetime of frustration and aggravation to just view a web page, when there is other browsers out there that are more user friendly and faster to use. Now for some, they may have a special purpose for it. For me, I use no use for it at all.

These are some of my gripes, give me a while and I'll think of some more:). It had me so frustrated that I came real close to throwing my Clie across the room!!!

BTW, I love my Clie, it's Net_Front that I can't stand!

Larry -- I hate NetFront too for the same reason(s) but what else is there? PocketLink seems about as bad or worse and the others don't use the 480 res. What are you using??

Hi Neil,

I have been using Blazer, WebPro, and now PocketLink again. Yes, sure it would be nice to utilize the whole 480 Res. The new version of PocketLink just came out and is running fine for me off my MS. Previous versions gave me fatal errors. Now other are trying to run Plink and are having trouble, so go figure! Blazer works best for my usage, it's quick , fast, and easy, just not HiRes+. Sooner or later, I am sure a better browser will come along. The Blazer server does a good job of optimizing web pages, if that isn't a concern.

With some now, my dislike for Net Front has become sort of a joke and adds a touch of humor to some of the threads here now ;).

Well, I can rant too:D!
