I just upgraded to a CLIE NX 60 Device and am having a strange
problem with Datebk4.

Let's say I have 10:00 PM showing on the screen and I tap there to
enter an appointment. I type "Meet Joe at Restaurant o". As soon as I
type the "o", it line wraps, but also duplications the "Meet Joe at
Restaurant" text at 11:00 PM. My cursor is after the "M" in the
duplicate text. If I tap right after the "o" (one line above, now), I
get a "Program Information" Box, telling me there is an "Error Saving
Appointment".

If I tap OK, I can continue to enter text "n 12th Street". If I scroll
the duplicate appointment (11:00 PM) off the screen, and then scroll
back, or move to a different day, then com back, the
appointment is entered correctly and the duplicate text disappears.

BTW, when the cursor is sitting after the "M" on the duplicate entry,
if I just keep entering text - "n 12th S" - at this point the
"Graffiti" screen pops up. If I tap "Done", my 10 O'Clock entry reads

Mn 12th eet Joe at
Restaurant o

and my 11 O'Clock "duplicate" reads:

Mn 12th eet Joe at

If I then tap after the "o" in my 10 O'clock entry, I get the "Error
Saving Appointment" Box. As before, after scrolling up & down, I'm
left with one 10:00 appointment, but it reads:

Mn 12th eet Joe at
Restaurant o.

It seems like this happens mostly at the bottom of a page (last
entry for a day), but I'm not sure its' exclusive to this situation.

It's really annoying. I tried reinstalling a fresh, new download of
"datebk4" - no help. Does anyone know what's going on?

Thanks,
Mitch

Are you really using DateBk4? The reason I ask is because the program was updated several months ago, and is now called DateBk5. If you're using the latest version of DB4, you should download the latest version of DB5 and see if that fixes your problem. The latest release version of DB5 is V-5.0b, and there is a very stable beta version (V-5.0c, p6) that adds some extra OS5 support.

If you do have the latest beta version, you might want to check out Menu-View Display Options, and then set Maximum display lines is set to All.

OK. I upgraded to Datebk5. Everything works properly. I guess Datebk4 is not supported with OS 5
