New Nz Coming Soon??

saw somewhere on Palminfocenter.com that Sony was coming out with a replacement for the NZ with higher screen resolution. Like usual it was one of those unconfirmed announcements from the guys friends-uncles- cousin who saw it on inventory at the local Computer store. Can anyone confirm this?

Not sure how useful it would be to have a finer resolution screen with
existing display size. Yours eyes can't focus on it if you hold it at your nose. It just adds to processing time required, unless they increase the display size. Well, you can forget about putting that in your t-shirt pocket:-)

I hope the next version has more built-in features, actually the only thing I could think of to put in is wi-fi and more memory.

I have been saying that one should be due out shortly, just a gut feeling. There will be something besides the UX before Thanksgiving(November), might include OS6.

wish they'd announce something soon though... I really need to make use of my compusa warranty on my NZ and I'd hate to do it twice and blow some $$$ if they're going to come out with the sequel to the NZ in 3-4 months.

if I know one's coming out, I can suffer better... :)

I'll be waiting for an NZ replacement too and hopefully Sony keeps the CF slot, though I doubt it if WIFI is built-in. Perhaps, they'll do a double MS Slot. I am spoiled since having access to 2 external store :(

Ok csuser... what you have to do is post specifics on what you saw... i.e. - a url to what you saw, or a picture of the magazine article, or whatever. Just saying you saw something really is just teasing us... :)

I am surprised Sony has not dropped the prices on the NZ90 if they are really coming out with a new unit soon. It's their cronology to do this if a new model is out, IMO.

I'm starting to get a bit apprehensive about what I believe will be a November release of an addition to the NZ family. This may well be a little early for an OS6 model. Could it be OS 5.2?

First off I think the NZ73 is a miss print. Second I am in the same boat as cjones. I also bought my NZ90 with my compusa warrenty and plan on "upgrading". The warrenty is great and I have like 14 months left on it, but I am also want a new NZ90.

My guess is sometime in Sept or Oct we will have info about a new NZ model and it will have O6. I would also guess it will have buitl in WiFi + Bluetooth, more memory like 64-128 and faster processor. Along with the 2 Mp camera and NO CF Slot.

I plan to get a new NZ in NOV or DEC.

C'mon guys!! I know we are all gadget freaks but serioulsy, look at what we have!! We got the TOP OF THE LINE Sony PDA that has just about everything you need. Sure there are several cons to our NZ90 but can you seriously complain???? We got gear that majority of people could only dream of. Even if Sony is releasing the next GEN NZ series, don't buy every new PDA as if it's going out of style.

There are still people out there who are still happy and using their PDA that's considered antiques.

Anyhow, I'm still interested to see what's next like everyone else, but nevertheless, I'll still love my baby..
