ZLauncher prob. no dragging??

I got a problem with Zlauncher, I have really gotten to like this program but now I can't drag icons or anything, I can't change the bottom icons because you have to drag them to the position, I can't drag something into the trash, I can't add programs to my favorites, all because I can't drag, I have tried changing settings all around with no success, please help me, this is driving me nuts!!!!

Anyone out ther plese help!

Can you drag things in any other app, or is it only ZL that you can't drag in? Sounds strange.

Only in ZLauncher, I can drag apps and such in the clié launcher, this is weird.

Why don't you try loading a fresh copy of ZL and see if you still have the problem. That will at least pinpoint whether your copy got corrupted or whether it's a problem in one of the ZL databases.

Well I tried installing it again wirh no success, I still can't drag anything, thanks for your help. Any other ideas?

What happens when you try to drag an icon in ZLauncher? Do you keep getting the pop-up menu instead, or does it simply highlight the icon for a moment and then unhighlight as you move your stylus?

If you get the menu all the time, there's a "Tap & Hold" timing setting in ZL Preferences (Options menu, ZL Preferences) that might be set too low. I have mine set to 0.7 and sometimes have the menu appear before I manage to drag the icon.

If nothing is happening at all, then I'm not sure what would be disabling the ability to drag icons. What other hacks or DAs are you running, if any?

If spradlinb's suggestion on the T&H setting doesn't work and if you still see this behavior after disabling any hacks you may be using, if any, then you could try deleting the ZLauncherDB file using a file manager. You'll have to recategorize all of your apps, recreate your tabs and probably reenter your reg number, but it may fix the problem for you. You should probably do a backup or at the very least, copy this file to your MS, so that if deleting it doesn't help, you don't have to go through the hassle of recategorizing for nothing.

if you use nx with jot 2.0, remove jot completly. it will solve the problem. if not, i have no idea. sorry.

Bad that jot was the problem tho... i was going to buy both zLauncher AND Jot today! :(
