for Yawn. Maybe it is a low end model to appeal to low end consumers, but low end is not synonymous with low IQ. People want value but they will pay more for better features.

I think it's a step down from the existing T-series, and think the "Why?-series" would be a much better name for it as well :)
Although, to be fair, it looks like it's going to be a new "TG-series" rather than a new T-series model. Much like N and NG/NX/NR series are all different from one another.
Cheers.

I think it is its own little line, Sony seems to want a PDA for every possible niche. I think we just might seem a replacement for the T665 that has VG. Just one question: Wht would a Clie without graffiti have a "G" in its name? Bad naming if you ask me.

I don't think its too bad, but just for fun...
The Yuck series.
The Yeash series.
The YoYo series.
The Yeah, Yeah, Yeah series.

You're right, one might have expected this to be called a TK50 and our dream device to be named the TG50 or TVG50.
Anyway if this TG50 has OS5, MP3, etc, the bluetooth would make this a good high midrange competitor for the Tungsten T. I suspect the bulit-in keyboard & bluetooth is meant to make this a popular email device.
If there is to be a T-replacement with VG, battery life will be an issue, especially if bluetooth is included. Maybe a replacable rechargable battery is a partial solution, but I wonder how small the form factor would be with a replacable battery?
In the end I think the ideal dream device will always be an ideal dream device.

How about the "Y is Sony coming out w/ a useless design?" Series.
How many N* series owners here actually use the keyboard?
