I started playing around with PhotoSkin tonight, and I quickly learned that it is a very nice program. The ability to easily transform some of my old skins into tappad skins is absolutely brilliant.

Skin Manager is also pretty sweet. The rename ability can be very useful at times.

Neither, as far as I know, support storage of skins on memory sticks. There used to be a program that supported the MS, but unfortunately it didn't support status skins. (I can't remember the name of it off the top of my head).

My question is, does anyone know of a skin manager that will handle skins, both silk and status, on the MS? I really don't want to resort to manually moving files around with a file manager.

*EDIT*
The name of the program was SilkChange, for what it's worth.

Mmm, I know what you're talking about. But I know of no program that supports both VG ans SB on an MS.

That's a lot of abbr.

Hmmm, looks like it may be exactly what I'm looking for, but it's having a difficult time recognizing the majority of my skins. Still playing with stuff though, so maybe I'll work it out. Great find, either way. Thanks menuki.

Having the same problem.

It only sees ONE of my dozen or so skins.

Skin Manager and Photo Skin have no trouble with them, so I don't understand what the problem is. All the files are the same size, type, creator ID, etc. This is really f**king irritating!

Okay, I was snooping around inside the SilkChange program and figured out what the problem was. I tried patching the program, but couldn't get a 100% working fix.

However, I did find a way to patch the SKIN files so that they will work with the program.

You will need a hex editor program to do this.

Open the SKIN file in the editor and look at the byte at offset $3C (60th decimal byte). It will have a value of $73 (hex), which is a lower case "s". This needs to be changed to $53 (hex) upper case "S".

That's it. Save the skin file and it will now work with SilkChange from your Memory Stick.

Aloha, GG

PS: Works for VG skins and Status Bar skins.

ok.... but where do you get the hex editor without paying any money?
