Is there a hack or utility that will launch a selected program after the Palm has been turned off for a certain amount of time? Some programs contain this feature, but I'd like A5 to start automatically.

Search for "Power Launch".... I used it on a Palm with a bad datebook button.... if you are running alot of hacks you may need to have it at the top of the activation list to avoid conflicts.

Why not just assign A5 to one of your hardware buttons (ie: datebook button) and use that button to turn on your Clie?

I'm guessing he's using an NR type device in tablet mode.....
