I just got my clear cover from Brando. I was expecting to get the one that requires the spring mechanism to be pulled out from the old cover, but instead I got a clear cover that was a 'snap on'. This one doesnt requires the spring mech. Also this one doesnt extends to the graphics above the silver keys.
I dont know if this is a permanent change or if I got the wrong one, but I am happy so far with this new one. The clicking of the spring would have been nice though

Hey can someone please post a picture of what the TG looks like with the clear cover on it? I was reading in another thread about this and the person apperantly thought this was a good thing because they didnt have to flip the cover to enter information????????
Thanks

I guess this answers my question. I just reveived my TG50 Clear Cover from Brando was wondering how I should insert the hinges of the original flipcover into this clear cover because there are no holes! So, this is a different model which you can just clip on the Clie? Gonna try that now.
Yes, that's it. Perfect - I like it.

I have this very flip cover and it looks AWESOME!
It works really well, practically NO cloudiness or distortion of screen. The screen looks perfectly clear. Installation, which I thought would be difficult, was a snap! It was harder removing the stock cover than putting this new clear one on.
Only problem is that the clear cover is not spring loaded, and it is not as easy to flip open as the OEM metal plate.
Also I just got mine and I have a few very faint scratches. Kinda annoying, maybe it scratches easily? Maybe I should put a write right on it. hehe
I also have the silicon cookie cover and it works awesome. I will try to make some post in a bit. I just gave my TG a complete makeover!! =)

Does anyone know of a leather case for the TG50 which allows for removing the lid completely from the device?

see how it makes the keys a little bit more murky. Still I like the keypad cover more than the silicon sticky keys because its easier to apply and remove.

(gotta wait for mods to approve i guess)
and how the heck do I post more than one picture per post?

This clear cover makes the TG50 very easy to use. No need to flip open anything if I just want to check the time, my datebook, etc.
I can do almost everything one handed with jog dial, Mcphling, and Yishow.

This picture shows how clear the cover is. Actually the picture doesn't do the clearness justice. It's even more clear.
And can some mod please just connect all of my posts? i can't seem to figure out how to upload more than one pic per post.

yes yoyoyoo, doesn't the clear lid almost completely change the way you use your TG? do you think it's something that'll come standard in the next TG? I'm assuming at the very least they'll improve the keyboard.

I like it too. Great to just have a look at the schedule or check emails and such without having to remove the flipcover but still have that secure feeling.. ;) I have been using mine only for the second day so it is still very clear but I don't think it will bother me much if I get a few scratches on it. After all it's a cover, better scratches on the cover then on my screen and if you need a very clear view you can still flip it up like you used have to do.
I am interested in the keyboard sleeve as well. So it does enhance the typing a lot? Hope you get the pictures up, yoyoyoo.

ooo pics are up if anyone is interested.
As for the keyboard sleeve, at first it seems to make typing HARDER! I was just getting used to the normal keyboard. This thing seems to be slowing me down when I type, as since it is silicon, it is sort of sticky, and so my fingers kinda stick to them and do not glide off easily from key to key.
It's a bit of an annoyance. Hopefully I will break this silicon keyboard sleeve in.
As for the clear half cover, everyone has to get one! It's amazingly easy to install and makes the TG50 much more efficient and easy to use, imo
why i cant see the pictures??

I see you've the Cookie installed.
How does that different from the Sticky Key, Does it improve the typing effect( and also how?), or Only protecting the Keyboard Panel from Dust?
Please delete my post, I've seen your report..............

SOrry to resurrect an old post...but does the clear cover scratch easy? Reason being, is that I dont put my TG50 in a case and most often its in my pockets.....
IS it made of acrylic where it can get scratches???

Yes, it will get scuffed if you use it alot like I do (I also carry it around in my pockets just about everywhere I go), but that's what it's meant for! The scratches are very light and only visible when the unit is off. As soon as you turn it on, they disappear! I'm NOT talking about cracks, now, if someone drops it! I'm just talking about the kind of minor scratches that are to be expected from taking it in and out of, say, a tight jeans pocket. Also (common sense), I don't lay the unit on the table facing down unless there is something soft to lay it on.
Get the cover! You'll love it!!! You'll be able to do so many things without even opening up the unit! And people will think you have a new PDA! I'm still getting asked if this is a new one, and I have to tell them no, it's just a transparent cover on an old (well, a few months old, anyway!) Clie.
