Up to your max internal memory. Check "load contigous maps" and it will stitch them together while you drive with GPS input, justbe careful when retrieving maps from memory that it's not checked! You have the option to leave the map on after it's loaded as well. I took my home/county map and loaded it into flash via Jackflash (have to force load). Saves a lot of time loading as I keep my maps on CF card...
Mapopolis' needs to build in some sort of automatic retrieval/removal system for extended distance driving. It's only fault, IMO.

There is something you can do. Copy the maps to ram, then WITH Zlauncher make a shortcut of Mapopolis to the card. That will copy over the Map DB's, and everytime Mapopolis loads (which will be a little slow, not as slow on a 200 mhz device; with lightspeed it will prolly NOT be slow at all), it will load the maps into ram. Then when you quit, they will be deleted from the RAM.

Hope that helps.

That didn't quite work for me.   I got the shortcut of Mapopolis but not the Maps?

Maybe I've misunderstood what you were describing.

mapoplis does not have full VFS support. you cannot directly access the maps directly from the m/s. hat that means is that you can use either zlauncher or powerrun to move the maps from ram to your memory stick. so, you current ram is freed up - but you need that equal amount of ram when you run mapopolis.

regarding continous maps - this means that maps that are geographically connected to each other will load, so that when you are traveling or viewing from one map to another, you don't have to separately load each map. checking this option, increases your need for ram. unchecking, is less ram required.

orange county and maricopa county are amongst the largest maps, so these often cause ram problems.

hope this helps.

neogin - i made the post above you. and by the way, i have the maricopa maps - lol. this is why is use jackflash and keep most everything else on the stick via zlauncher. i need to keep 8mb free on my nz90. i also use a globalsat bluetooth gps receiver - so using the maps is kinda fun!
