BTW, if you saw the pictures of the new Helix/Zodiac/Tapewave or whatever the name is, on PDA Arcade, it seems the device can do both Wide-Res+ And Hi-Res+... here are the pictures

I read this over at a UX thread. Sounds cool Clie T Series form factor... Helix will bury the T3!!:D Sounds like a rockin' device 128MB memory WOW! For $400 no less, Ouch!! thats less than the NX80!
Here is another article about the Zodiac specs. http://news.com.com/2100-1041-5057178.html
I'll retain my Sony investment and get the UX thanks!!! :D

Is there any way to obtain the PalmOS Simulator from Tapwave?

IMHO, the size, form factor and layout of the Zodiac won't adversely affect T3 sales unless your main purpose for getting a T3 is to play games. The T3 will definitely attract those who are looking for a T series update running OS5 with VG.

hmm, looking at the specs, and the rumored appearance, I think I have decided that the Zodiac will be my next PDA. Plus, the price will make it much easier for me to switch over to a new card format.

you need to sign up as a developer. I have the SDK from Tapwave, and I assure you, there's nothing interesting in the Simulator. I'm testing a few games, and so far none worked...:(

I don't think so. The Zodiak has a lot to recommend it, especially for gamers, but I'm afraid it will look too much like a toy for many other PDA users.

I don't think the devices will do much to detract from one another because they are aimed at different niches of the PDA market. The Helix will be sought after by the mobile gaming crowd that want to have a little life management on the side. The T|T3, on the other hand, will be aimed at the professional, business, type user that wants (as other posters in this thread have pointed out) a slim form factor PDA with HR+ and VG capabilities.
Another advantage that the Palm model has going for it is the brand recognition. People who are buying PDAs know that Palm means quality (both in hardware and software, but also support). This is a major hurdle for the Helix to overcome.
Just my nickle's worth of free advice...

Thanks for the screenshot link there SJ30 :)
After looking at the screenshots, I had a questions that came to mind...
If this handheld does indeed run in landscape mode, does that bode well for us HR+ Clie users (NR, NX, NZ-series) insomuch that if programs are reworked to support the Zodiac, can the modifications be ported to other devices that have similar displays (like the Clie) or is that recoding specific to the device?
