Can anyone suggest the use of CF MODEM? NOw I still cannot think of any worth-buying reasons to buy it. But I am still very happy to know that the CF MODEM is usable for CLIE. thanks for the developer.

The purpose of a modem is to go online from a wireline connection to access the web or retrieve email. I have a modem back from when wireless or cellular access wasn't feasible. There are still some areas in the USA where there is no wireless coverage yet.

Easy:

Go to a hotel. Phone calls are free when local. You usually can find local #'s for your ISP.
