Heyas all, i posted in the strangest stylus thread as well but i decided it might be best to introduce myself properly,
I'm JP Cupertino, aka Jypsy, and a proud owner of a new Nx70v.
I previously owned a palm iic (resting in pieces now) and a Hanspring visor most recently.
the problem i am running into is the fact that I am using the NX the same as my visor. Is there a good site out there that has OS 5 only apps? or neat things to do with the power of the nx series? the camera is what really made me get it, and when coming from a visor to a clie, its really a major change....Im using launcherX and Photoskin for my skinning needs (and making it look like a tricorder) and been playing with some of the newer color games......and still playing space trader.
the things i would really like to do with this is
Inventory for my buisness, something that will let me input once what i have then do daily updates and calculate prices and stuff.
Games! games that take advantage of the power that this system has. and that are actually fun! most ive played are really really dumb.
Also i would like to know Things i can do to make my clie run smoother, or better, and what NOT to do... :)
I hope i can help out a bit too and be a part of the community.
Thanks all!
JP
Under Clie up the top theres lists of programs for OS5, HiRes+

Never rush, be patient with your Clie. Create many backups, always backup before installing a new app, to a memory stick. The desktop can get contaminated all too easily. After installation do a soft reset. Always use the default launcher's delete to remove an application. Never-ever remove the memory stick while your connected with the Desktop PC while using MS Import.
Most important of all, have fun!

Heh, yeah, sorry to sound desperate, I just see a lot of potential in the clie and want to make sure i am taking care of it! I freaked out today after i forgot about the hold button.....tried turning it on, it flashed green power on, and i thought battery was dead, but then it wouldnt charge, then i remembered the Hold button :) i felt like a moron! ah well, i love it so far, and its a great MP3 player in the car!
Thanks again.

Once prior to obtaining my latest baby... the NX, I called Sony tech support as I could not turn my NR on. After 10 mins w/ a tier 1 tech, I was transferred tier 2. I was already asking myself how I'd survive without it during repair. Tier 2 tech asked which position my hold button was in... boy, was my face red!

My day isn't complete without feeling like a moron at some part of the day:D! BTW, things like the Hold button happens even to the worst of us:D!

Ah, the hold button...lol...
I think the best use for the hold button is to convince pests who want to play with my clie that they have broken it! Hehhehheh....That trick never gets old.

Thanks again all. Palmgear.com was my first stop to re download all the junk I used to play with on my visor.
and thanks for all the links, i think i will make a new section on my website, just for Palm users, with most of these links on it.
(and of course links to my fave games and toys! Now i just wait for a color tricorder with better sound and more functions...)
Oh yeah, im testing out some palm development software (admittedly i have NO clue what im doing) to see if i can make a pam device appear to work like a PKE meter from ghostbusters. Itll be similar to the tricorder app, but of course ghostbusterized.
